Digvijaya snubs Mayawati; denies role in Congress-BSP alliance failure

New Delhi, Oct 4: Rejecting the claims of BSP chief Mayawati, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that he had no role in fixing Congress-BSP alliance.

His comments came on the backdrop of Mayawati's verbal attack when she blamed Singh of sabotaging Congress-BSP alliance.

The former Chief Minister took to Twitters and said, “The BSP supremo also declared candidates for 22 seats in Madhya Pradesh and said that her party will contest all 230 seats in the State."

“Now how am I responsible for sabotaging Congress BSP Alliance?” he questioned

On Wednesday, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister announced that her outfit will not ally with Congress in upcoming Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh assembly poll. 

Speaking to media, the former UP Chief Minister claimed that none other local leaders of Congress are sabotaging the proposed alliance.
 
Earlier, reports were surfaced about the poll understanding between BSP and Congress in order to prevent the division of votes.
