Rajnath Singh points at Naxalism saying ‘govt is successful in weeding out naxals’

New Delhi, October 5: One of the rotten roots of our nation which disturbs its peace, integrity which is nothing but Naxalism was targeted by our Home minister Rajnath Singh. Rajnath Singh today said the government is successful in weeding out naxals.


 

Speaking at a summit, Singh said, Naxalism is a big challenge for the country and no violence will be tolerated by the government.

Saying the need to eradicate Maoism from its roots, the Home Minister said urban naxals only want to incite violence.

The naxal insurgency has been particularly strong in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal and Maharashtra.

“For the first time we have managed to do that. Now people are coming to cities and promoting naxalism. Nobody can be allowed to promote violence in the country,” Singh said.

Singh blamed Pakistan for problems in Kashmir and said the government is working towards improving situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh also condemned the Lucknow techie's murder saying it was a very unfortunate incident.
