Jharkhand to become partner state at Goa International Film Festival

Ranchi, October 8: This year Goa International Film Festival from 20th to 28th of November will have Jharkhand as a partner state. The decision was taken today in meeting between Secretary of Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Amit Khare and Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, Sudhir Tripathy at Ranchi. This will allow Jharkhand to showcase its culture and favourable film making incentives announced by the state government.


 

It was decided to open community radio station at every districts of Jharkhand. It was also decided to organize Jharkhand Film Festival, under Indian Panorama, in two towns of Jharkhand in the first month of next year.

Khare also held a separate meeting of officers of All India Radio , Doordarshan , Press Information Bureau and Regional Outreach Bureau -under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, where ongoing works of various departments were discussed.

The International Film Festival is going to be held in Goa from November 20 to 29. This will include country-wide filmmakers. As a partner State Jharkhand will get a branding opportunity in this event. Filmmakers from abroad will be able to get to know the strengths of Jharkhand. Also, the activities of film production in the state will also get a boost.
