Vizag gets Walmart India’s sustainable store

Visakhapatnam, Nov 1: Marking the festive season of Diwali, international retail giant Walmart on Wednesday opened its first B2B cash and carry store in the port city Visakhapatnam. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh graced the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing the small gathering here, Lokesh said that Walmart’s new establishment will provide new avenues and employment opportunities for local youths. He further added that the new retail store will bridge the gap between farmers and consumer.
Heaping praises on the Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Krish Iyer, President and CEO of Walmart India said that the policy of ease of doing business has paved the way for company's fourth store in the coastal state.
