CM Fadanvis directs for immediate action on issues related to tribal development

The delegation of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram called on Chief Minister Devendra fadanvis and submitted a memorandum to him in Mumbai on Thursday.

Mumbai, Nov 15: Chief Minister Devendra fadanvis Thursday assured the Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram delegation that review of pending issues related to just rights of the tribal people will be taken and orders for their immediate resolution will be issued.

He was talking to the delegation of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram Maharashtra unit which called on him today at his official residence ‘Varsha’ in Mumbai. The delegation submitted a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister.

Tribal Development Minister Vishnu Sawara, Principal Secretary fo Tribal Development Department Manisha Varma were present on this occasion. The delegation included Sanjay kulkarni, Cahitram Pawar, Girish Kuber, Ramdas Gavit, Gowardhan Mundhe, Sharad Shelke, Sandip Sable, Dr Chandrakant Barela, Umatai Pawar, Dr Bharat Kelkar, Vinayak Surmani and others.

During the interaction with the delegation, Chief Minister briefed them on the steps the government is taking on forest rights land distribution, PESA act and other such issues.

A monitoring system called MPCM is active to monitor the utilization of funds provided by the Tribal Development Department and its results. This system should be effectively implemented the Chief Minister said directing the officials of various departments related to tribal development to act in perfect coordination for better results.

The Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram today took out a massive rally of thousands of tribal people from all over the state to press for their pending demands and issues related to land rights, forest resources and others.
