Bengaluru, Nov 19: Principal opposition party BJP today Condemned the Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s remakes on a woman farmer. Dubbing Kumaraswamy as an "opportunist", and demanded an unconditional apology from the Chief Minister.

Raising the demand of correct support price, various farmer groups were staging a protest against the state government. During this protest, the woman farmer called Jayashree took a swipe at Kumaraswamy and questioned his ability to govern the state.

Irked with the remarks, the Chief Minister on Sunday, stated that his government was not responsible for the financial crisis. Taking a dig at Jayashree, Kumaraswamy said, “Where were you sleeping four years ago? ” He went on saying that it was not farmers who were protesting but some motivated groups to stall the government.

Taking a dig at Kumaraswamy, BJP said that instead of addressing the issue, the Chief Minister is mocking the distressed farmers who were protesting for their legitimate demand.
