Suhasini is the sister of famous actor Jr NTR and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

On August 29, Nandamuri Harikrishna, senior actor, and TDP leader lost his life in a road mishap near Telangana's Nalgonda district. The horrifying accident took place Narketpally on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway.

The 61-year-old Harikrishna was the son of former AP Chief Minister Nandamuri Tarak Rama Rao (NTR) and brother-in-law of Telugu Desam Party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. A former Rajya Sabha leader, Harikrishna was the Politburo Member of TDP.

In 2014, Madhavaram Krishna Rao who later shifted loyalties to TRS had won the traditional seat on TDP’s ticket. Former bureaucrat and Lok Satta Party founder Jayaprakash Narayan also represented Kukatpally. After NTR, Suhasini will be the second member from Nandamuri family who will contest in Telangana region.
