Major accident at Pulgaon’s Central Ammunition Depot; 6 killed, 10 hurt

Wardha, Nov 21: Maharashtra's Wardha on Tuesday witnessed a horrifying accident which took place inside the Army explosive depot at Pulgaon claiming the lives of six workers.
The unfortunate incidence happened during the disposal of old explosives. The explosion took at Central Ammunition Depot, during the ammunition unloading assignment.
According to media reports, 10 people suffered major injuries and later shifted to a nearby hospital. The blast took place at 8:00 am where the team of Ammunition Factory, Khamaria was busy with the demolition activities.
Responding to the developments, Maharashtra Government declared a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the kin of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for those critically injured in the explosion.
