CM Fadanvis dedicates Adivasi Life Line Atal Arogya Vahini
Mumbai, Nov 22: The Adivasi students will get better healthcare facilities and they will not be deprived of any treatment facilities, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis here on Thursday.
Fadanvis inaugurated the Transformation Campaign and dedicated the Atal Arogya Vahini today. The program held at the main entrance of Vidhan Bhavan was attended by Speaker Haribhau Bagde, Tribal Development Minister Vishnu Sawara, Public Health Minister Dr Dipak Sawant, Housing Minister Prakash Maheta, Medical Education Minister Girish Mahajan, MoS Home Dipak Kesarkar, Principal Secretary of the department Manisha Verma and other officers.
Chief Minister congratulated the Tribal Development Department for executing this important scheme aimed at providing better healthcare facilities to Adivasi students. The students will be doubly benefitted by this scheme. One, they will have regular health check-up and the information of their health problems will be easily available on the dashboard. Treatment will be provided for ailments detected and diagnosed after the examination or in emergency cases also.
Atal Arogya Vahini is a well–equipped ambulance and this will benefit the Adivasi students in treatment of their health issues, the Chief Minister said. He dedicated this ambulance and congratulated all those who assisted in this scheme.
Services offered:
· 24x7 emergency medical service through this ARAI certified Basic Life Support Ambulance
· 24x7 Response centre for coordination with ambulances
· Medical examination of students in cluster schools through doctors
· Review of project position through Health Management Information System. Digital Health Card through Mobile App
· Expert health advice about treatment and guidance for hospitalisation as per need
· Well-equipped dispensaries to be set up in schools.
Arrangements have been made to offer emergency medical services to students in remote areas. A total of 48 clusters are made with each cluster comprising of 4-6 Ashramshalas and one Ekalavya Residential School. There will be 48 well-equipped ambulances one for each cluster available 24x7. Two doctors and one health assistant will also be ready with each of the ambulance fitted with basic life support (BSL).
Under this scheme regular health check-up of students in Ashramshalas will be conducted. Necessary medicines and injections have been stocked sufficiently for treatment of infectious diseases. A digital health card of each student will be prepared which will have complete information of his health check-up. Along with general physicians, services of ophthalmologist, skin, ENT specialists will also be provided, said Principal Secretary Manisha Verma. The ambulances will have ECG, Oxygen Cylinders, and other modern equipment. Since these Ashramshalas are located in remote areas, sufficient stock of anti-venom injections will be there to treat the cases of snake bite, or scorpion bite.
Besides this comprehensive health scheme a health committee will be set up in every ashramshala to generate health awareness among the guardians and people of the surrounding area. This committee will include students, teachers and guardians.
Felicitation of winners of competitions
Various competitions were organised on this occasion. The winners of these competitions were felicitated at the hands of the chief minister. Sachin Vibhute was honoured for suggesting the name “Kayapalat Abhiyan” for this campaign and Nitin Shelke was felicitated for suggesting the slogan “Atal Arogya Vahini-Adivasi Jivan Dayini”. Besides, Hanumantrao Gaikwad of BVG, Kishor Deo, Dnyaneshwar Shelke, and Health Advisor Dr Mohammad Sakwan were also felicitated.
The dignitaries released the booklet prepared by the department on this occasion. Chief Minister lit the traditional lamp at the beginning. Manisha Verma welcomed the guests. The dignitaries waved green flags to launch the ambulance service.
