Anand (Gujarat), Nov 26: Dr. Varghese Kurien, Father of white revolution of India, known as ‘milkman of India’ had unparalleled contribution in Indian agricultural dairy industry. 26th November is 97th birth anniversary of Dr. Varghese Kurien, which is celebrated as ‘National Milk Day’ throughout India.

Anu Aga, MP, Rajya Sabha said, ‘Dr. Varghese Kurien, has shown that, with ordinary people, you can create successful enterprise’.

Dr. Kurien’s ‘billion-liter idea’ gave birth to the world’s largest agricultural dairy development program that made dairy farming India’s largest self-sufficient and sustaining industry. Dr. Kurien is the man behind flourishing state of Indian milk and dairy industry. He created milk revolution with essential framework for sustainability of dairy sector. The basic thought of ‘white revolution’ is uplift of masses.

26th November, a group of bikers, driven by Amul, set out on an epic journey, across cities and states, to uncover the life story of milkman of India.
