70 years of camaraderie, EAM Sushma Swaraj discusses health, education, tourism with Romanian Foreign Minister

New Delhi, November 27: Assembling the strong bilateral relation of 70 years, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday met Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu and discussed a number of bilateral issues including co-operation in the field of agriculture and information and communication technology.

 

Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "70th-anniversary celebrations continue! EAM @SushmaSwaraj welcomed Romanian Foreign Minister @teodormelescanu. Deep historical and cultural linkages have formed a solid basis for our present-day cooperation."

The two leaders discussed the diversification of historical relations and boosting cooperation in the fields of agriculture, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), health and pharma, education, tourism, and culture.

In another tweet by Raveesh Kumar, it stated, "Evolving a roadmap for collaboration. Delegations led by EAM @SushmaSwaraj and Romanian Foreign Minister @teodormelescanu discussed diversifying the historical relations & boosting cooperation in the fields of agriculture, ICT, health & pharma, education, tourism & culture.”

Romania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu arrived here on Saturday on a four-day official visit to the country. His visit coincides with India and Romania completing 70 years of diplomatic relations. Foreign Minister Melescanu assumed office on January 4, 2017, and is a member of the Romanian Parliament as the representative of the Prahova constituency in the Senate.
