Beijing, November 27: The Baluchistan Liberation Army took a responsibility of attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi on November 23, 2018. The three suicide bombers entered into Chinese consulate and tried to blast the building, but Pakistani police succeed in limiting them in the outer fence. In this attack, 2 Pakistani police died, one security guard injured and two civilians and three soldiers shot dead.

Jiand Baloch, member of Baluchistan Liberation Army quoted to Reuters, the reason behind this attack is that ‘China is exploiting Pakistan’s resources’.

Pakistan and China are two main players today in Asian politics. Due to this incident, there is the possibility that the relation got tempered. But as always China handled this situation very strategically.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson of China, Geng Shuang said in regular press conference on November 27, 2018, ‘Dealing with this incident, the Chinese and Pakistani government and two people firmly trust each other, show friendliness toward each other’.

Even after the deplorable attack on the Chinese consulate in Pakistan, the Chinese foreign ministry is busy making futile claims singing the ballads in praise of the Pakistanis who have made their nation, a failed state. The Chinese spokesperson says: ‘The fact once again proves that the friendship between China and Pakistan is higher than mountains and deeper than the ocean. China and Pakistan deserve the title of all-weather strategic cooperation partners. I would like to stress that; any attempt to undermine this friendship is doomed to fail.’

Days after the terror attack, Lijian Zhao, deputy chief of mission at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, said on Twitter that- "The bilateral alliance is "higher than (the) mountains and deeper than (the) sea," The friendship has never been empty talks, but deeply imprinted in hearts of Chinese and Pakistani people," Zhao said, noting how Chinese civilians made donations to the families of Pakistani security officers who died on Friday.

The Chinese side expressed heartfelt thanks to Pakistani police for swift and decisive actions for effective safeguard the security of staff of consulate general. Beijing is one of Islamabad's closest allies and a major investor, having loaned the South Asian nation around $4 billion in the fiscal year that ended in June, according to multiple reports. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's government, however, is in need of more external financing.

On this scenario, 21st meeting of special representatives of China and India on the boundary question was held in Chengdu, Sichuan on nov.24, 2018.

About this meeting, Foreign Ministry spokesperson of China, Geng Shuang said, ‘Two Sides put forward a host of looking and workable proposals and suggestions on the boundary talks, upholding peace and stability and promoting cooperation in border areas during the meetings. It is fair to say that, the two sides, in general, shared similar views and thinking in many areas.'

The power relation between India and Pakistan is always struggling. In the last few years, this relation was challenged on so many levels. So, this scenario, China is actually plotting to make contact with both the nations with different agendas. The triangle created on Asian politics, India-China-Pakistan is going to influence and determine the next coming years of Asian politics. China is playing very shrewd moves in dealing with India and Pakistan. The incident of this attack on Chinese consulate and Chinese reaction on it, spokes thousand words. Chinese two standards once again resurfaced with this comment. India needs to read between the lines and take careful steps in the coming years.
