EX CBI officer VV Lakshminarayana to float new political party

Hyderabad, Nov 29: After serving India’s apex investigative agency CBI, former IPS officer VV Lakshminarayana has decided to float his own political outfit. In an official announcement, the Former CBI Joint Director informed that party will contest the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls.

Earlier, speculative reports were surfaced over Lakshminarayana’s next move where he was reportedly approached by some top political parties.

According to media reports, the celebrated Cop was in talks with the Lok Satta founder and former MLA Jayaprakash Narayan where he was offered the post of AP state President.

Clearing the air, Lakshminarayana said that details such as the name of the new party, its ideological framework, and place of the launch will be announced soon.

A native of Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh, the top cop is an engineer by training and completed his M-Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Later he opted for Indian Police services.

A 1990–batch Maharashtra cadre officer, Lakshminarayana took on the might of Mining baron Gali Janandan Reddy, YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was instrumental in probing the high profile Satyam scam and OMC Scandal, Emaar Properties. Lakshminarayana had served in the Naxal affected regions of Maharashtra.

After taking voluntary retirement from CBI, the officer turned politician embarked on a state-wide mass outreach drive and engaged personal interaction with the peoples from all walks of life.
