Hyderabad, Nov 5: Days after TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s political agreement with Congress, YSR Congress leader and the widow of TDP founder N T Rama Rao Lakshmi Parvathi slammed Naidu for compromising with NTR’s principles.

Registering a silent protest at N T Rama Rao’s memorial which is situated near the famous Hussainsagar lake here, the former TDP leader penned a four-page letter and placed at NTR’s Samadhi.  In an emotional appeal, the YSR Congress leader urged the former Chief Minister to take “reincarnation” in order to uphold self-respect of Telugu people.

Taking exceptions to Naidu’s political move ahead of the crucial 2019 general elections and Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, Lakshmi accused Naidu of betraying Telugu people. She mentioned that Naidu after dethroning his own mentor is now taking shelter under the same Congress party for which the legendary actor founded TDP and fought till his last breath.

Launching a fierce attack on the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, the former lawmaker mentioned that Naidu who is driving his personal agenda in the name of NTR has destroyed the fabric of the yellow army.

In 1993, Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, acclaimed Telugu writer got married to NTR after the demise of Basawatarakam, first wife of NTR. Lakshmi Parvathi’s alleged interference in TDP’s functioning and administration paved the way for NTR’s ouster where Chandrababu along with other family members dethroned NTR and assumed the office of the Chief Minister as well as TDP.

Irked with the political conspiracy, Parvathi floated a separate outfit called NTR Telugu Desam Party and fought election from Srikakulam district. Later, Lakshmi Parvathi teamed up with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress and now holding the post of general secretary.

In 2019, ahead of the general election, Nandamuri Balakrishna will present the two-part series on NTR, a prestigious project under the direction of Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, fondly known as Krish. Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati will be essaying the role of Chandra Babu Naidu.

Meanwhile, Veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma is also working of the film titled as “Lakshmi's NTR”, yet another biopic on NT Rama Rao which will narrate the story from Lakshmi Parvathi’s angle. Recently film was officially launched at Tirupati.

On November 1, intensifying the outreach campaign against the BJP ruled Central government, Telugu Desam Party National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu flew down to the national capital and met Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to the media, both the leaders declared the much anticipated political pact for the 2019 general election.
