Jodhpur, December 1: The election campaign in Rajasthan continues with the top swing as the political party leaders, Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi address number of events and rallies. After Nagaur and Sujangadh, BJP party president is set to campaign in Jodhpur next. He will be addressing the people in a public meetings, rallies and road show in Jodhpur followed by Barmer today.

Rahul Gandhi however is set to visit the state today after campaigning long in Telangana. He will scare up the meetings in Udaipur, Bhilwada, Chittorgarh and Hanumangarh. Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are supposed to accompany Gandhi in the Rajasthan election campaign.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah addressed the mass meetings in Nagaur and Bhiwada on Friday targeting Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party president. He criticized Gandhi’s attempt of raising questions on the issues of bank loans and non-performing assets during the previous campaigns. Amit Shah said, “The issues raised by Rahul Baba are the results of the misdeeds of the previous Congress led governments.” Highlighting the victory of Vasundhara Raje in the state, he urged the people to vote for the BJP Government.

“There is absence of policy, principles and leaders in the opposition (Congress) party. It is only the subdued watch (NCP party symbol) possessed by them. Since when Modi has come into power, the political history marks high measured development in the state (Rajasthan). ”, Shah added addressing the masses and poking the Congress Government.

BJP president also held a mega road show in Shriganganagar addressing the huge crowd. The 200 membered Rajasthan Assembly polls are scheduled on 7th of December this year. The results for the same will be declared on 11th of December.

In a way, this is not surprising. Though Rajasthan has a third force, and this time that space is populated with more players than before, it is effectively a bipolar state which has not re-elected an incumbent in the last 25 years. That is, disenchantment with the BJP inevitably equals support for the Congress.
