Air Force chief B S Dhanoa on a five day visit to Japan strenghthening the mutual ties

New Delhi, December 11: Air Force Chief Birender Singh Dhanoa has left on a five-day goodwill visit to Japan on Monday from 10th to 14th of December this year. According to the Air Force, Dhanoa will be meeting the country’s defence minister and the other senior officials of the self-defence forces.
 
The visit is intended to further strengthen the existing defence cooperation between the air Forces of the two countries and pave the way for greater interaction and cooperation in future. Dhanoa is also set to visit various operational establishments and interact with the senior functionaries of the Koku-Jieitai, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
 
 
 
"The main focus would be to share ideas, enhance bilateral defence cooperation and mutual ties”, the statement in relation added. However, during Dhonoa’s visit to Japan, he will call on Minister of Defence Takeshi Iwaya, Chief of Staff General Yoshinari Marumo and Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Admiral Katsutoshi Kawano.
 
Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VM, ADC is the 25th Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force. He assumed the post on 31 December 2016 after Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha retired.
