Don’t take us for granted! Voters firmly warn BJP state units

New Delhi, December 11: As the counting of Assembly Election nears end, the voters have decided the fate of their states. Giving a tough fight to the Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have however learnt a lesson! In Madhya Pradesh, both the BJP and the Congress are lodged into neck to neck battle, the state of Mizoram and Telangana are all set to form the government under MNF and TRS respectively.

With the BJP losing in the constituencies they sought as a win, the voters have warned the ruling government to not take them for granted. Five states with one goal of ultimate power. The state of Telangana swiped in a clean victory by voting for the TRS party ruling the since inception. Lauding the efforts of his father and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, K.T. Rama Rao expressed gratitude towards the Telangana voters. TRS led the elections by leading on 90 seats, Congress leading on 16 seats, AIMIM on 5 seats, BJP leading on 1 seat, and others on 3 seats in 119 member Telangana assembly.

Mizoram was a clean victory once again for the Mizo National Front which led the elections from the beginning. Winning 26 seats, Mizoram had decided its fate way ahead. The Indian National Congress (INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not near the seats won by the M NF party. In total, BJP and INC had a lead of constituencies with 1 and 5 respectively.

With the Congress looking a firm favourite to win in two of five constituencies, the voters opted their party in all the three states with Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan coming under their rule. The state of Chhattisgarh also dragged INC in the victory pool as the Congress party was leading on 67 seats, BJP leading on 17 seats and the BSP on 2 seats.

Likewise the largest state, Rajasthan also swiped Congress by leading on 35 seats and the BJP on 30 seats. Rajasthan was looked upon as the state where the fate of the party remained questionable as no party as of now have received a consecutive term. However, nevertheless, BJP gave a tough fight to Congress in Rajasthan.

A nail biting moment for Congress as well as BJP in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the parties gave a neck to neck fight to each other. INC however leads with 104 seats in the battle followed by BJP at 94.

The Bharatiya Janata Party struggled and worked towards marking a place in the states they ought to be confident. But unfortunately, destiny had something else. With ruling out the party completely, the voters have warned the party for the upcoming elections. BJP’s three main focused states; Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pardesh and Rajasthan also did not sway the voters through their magic. The BJP now needs to buckle up for the upcoming General Elections in 2019.
