For the first time, Baahubali writer K V Vijayendra Prasad and director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, fondly known as Krish teamed up to recreate the epic saga of the great Rani Lakshmibai on the silver screen. In order to hit wider market down south, Zee Studios to also release the film in Tamil and Telugu.

Produced under the prestigious banner of Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain, Kangana’s 'Manikarnika will hit the screens on January 25. Marking the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, makers had unveiled the teaser of Manikarnika.

Written by Baahubali writer K V Vijayendra Prasad, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, renowned production house Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain has bankrolled the epic saga of great warrior Rani Lakshmibai.

For Manikarnika, acclaimed writer and poet Prasoon Joshi has penned down the songs and powerful dialogues, whereas celebrated composer Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy scored tunes.

Besides Kangana, actors like Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Zeeshan Ayyub, Danny Dengzongpa, Taher Shabbir will be seen in pivotal roles. Award-winning actor Atul Kulkarni will be donning the important character of Tatya Tope and Ankita Lokhande will be entering into the shoes of Jhalkari Bai.
