Using technology at par: Court hearings for prisoners of U'khand jails to be done through video conferencing

Dehradun, December 12: If everything goes well then the prisoners in prisons will now be presented in the court through video conferencing. This will provide relief to the police chief who has already suffered from the lack of Manpower, while the prisoners will get rid of the allegations of police collusion and additional expenditure. For this, police personnel will also be provided training in PHQ.


 

The prisoners often locked up in separate incidents in jail often have to be present in the court. For this, nearly 100 police personnel have to be on duty for transportation of these prisoners. Many times the prisoners try to escape from police custody while the transportation. Also, fuel used while transportation will also be saved.

Some police personnel will also be trained in PHQ. After the training, the cameras will be installed in the jail and the court. So that prisoners' presentation can be made from video conferencing.
