Praising Arunima Sinha to conquer new heights, PM Modi hands over tricolor flag for her expedition to Antarctica

New Delhi, December 13: Honoring the zest and the determination of the young talent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always encouraged sports. Praising the zeal to accomplish new achievements, PM Modi on Wednesday, handed over the tricolour flag to Arunima Sinha, marking the beginning of her expedition to Mount Vinson, Antarctica.

Arunima Sinha is the first female Divyang who climbed Mount Everest. With an amputated leg, Arunima Sinha pledged to prove her proficiency with a prosthetic leg, but was also to conquer the highest peak in the world – Mount Everest. The sense of accomplishment was what brought back her fearlessness as well as made her a motivation for everybody back home.

As a national level volley ball player, Sinha made clear that her prosthetic leg would never be an excuse for any accomplishment of her life. Gathering courage, Arunima has set example for everyone in the country.

Following her next expedition to Antarctica, Arunima Sinha called on the Prime Minister at New Delhi. Lauding her impressive achievements, PM Modi extended his best wishes for her latest venture.

Arunima Sinha had earlier conquered the highest peaks in five continents, becoming the first female Divyang to achieve the feat.
