New Delhi DEC 13: Billions of people across the globe, access Google for seeking the answers of questions. Every year, Google gets billions of searches across different platforms and genres from users. It then releases a list of most searched queries under different topics at the end of every year.

Google has released its annual “Year in Search 2018” report, which look across nine categories to highlight the most trending searched topics from year.

Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code is a section of the Indian Penal Code introduced in 1864 during the British rule of India. Modelled on the Buggery Act of 1533, it is used to criminalize sexual activities "against the order of nature".

After a decade long legal battle, it was torn down by five judge constitution bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Mishra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar, D.Y. Chandrachud, R.F. Nariman and Indu Malhotra on 6 September 2018.

The provision was struck down to the extent it criminalized consensual sexual act between adults, whether homosexual or heterosexual, however bestiality still continues to be a crime.
