Hyderabad, Dec 14: In a major development, Telangana Rashtra Samithi head and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today appointed Young TRS leader and IT Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao for the post of Working President. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao is the son of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

A three-time lawmaker from Sircilla Assembly segment, KTR held key portfolios of IT, Industries and Commerce, Urban development and NRI Affairs. In recently held assembly elections, the Young TRS leader defeated Mahender Reddy of Congress with a margin of 89,000 votes.

A student of Management studies, KTR plunged into politics amidst the state-wide separate Telangana launched by his father K Chandrashekhar Rao.

In 2009 for the first time, KTR kick-started political innings by winning Sircilla Assembly constituency. In 2014 after retaining Sircilla, he was inducted into the cabinet of K Chandrashekhar Rao.

A Well-known face on social media, KT Rama Rao is credited for many IT-driven initiatives such as T Hub – India’s largest incubator for startups.
