New Delhi, December 20: PM lashed out at Congress for being undemocratic and spreading lies. “Congress brought emergency in the country and destroyed democracy but the people came up defeating answers. Congress is once again trying to destroy traditions of Constitutional institutions.”, he said to the BJP booth workers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the BJP primary booth workers of Puducherry, Vellore, Kanchipuram, South Chennai and Villupuram through video conferencing from Delhi in ‘Mera Booth- Sabse Majboot’ program.

“They not only had the problems with the election commission and the EVMs but have humiliated army, CAG and every other institution important to our democracy. Recently they have questioned the verdict of Supreme Court just because they did not like the decision.”, he said while addressing.

“Earlier, they tried to impeach the CJI as they could not threaten the Court into doing what they wanted and the court being fair.”, he added.

The Prime Minister claimed that such undemocratic behaviour can be countered only through the strengthening of the country’s democratic processes. “Spreading of Information and awareness is important for democracy. We should keep the people informed about the Congress and its dangerous games,” he noted.

In the end, PM Modi asked party workers at the meet to increase their outreach by creating awareness on his government’s welfare schemes. “From housing to health care, from sanitation to skills, there are schemes for every section of society,” he concluded.
