New Delhi, December 21: Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley slammed the Congress President Rahul Gandhi on his argument over single slab GST rates. “A single slab GST argued by the Congress President is indeed a stupid Idea. Luxury and sin items can’t be taxed at the same rate as the common man’s item.”, asserted Jaitley pointing towards the stupidity of thoughts owned by Gandhi.

In the series of tweets further Jaitley continued to say that the UPA had left behind a legacy of 31% indirect Tax on most items. The GST has already reduced 334 items to 12% and 18% slab. “Wasn’t the 31% Tax an oppressive idea- a stupid one at that.”, he exclaimed.

“If any NDA/BJP Government had stopped an opposition Programme, it would have been called an “Undeclared Emergency”. Why Silence now?”, he pondered using the social media.

It is earlier the day that Congress President Rahul Gandhi commented on the GST provisions existing in the nation. He claimed that his party managed to wake up over the leadings of Goods and Services tax. “The Congress Party has finally shuddered Narendra Ji from his deep sleep on Gabbar Singh Tax (GST). Though still drowsy, he now wants to implement what he had earlier called the Congress Party's, "Grand Stupid Thought". Better late then never Narendra Ji!”, he tweeted earlier creating a menace further.
