Devendra Fadanvis inaugurates Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Schools

Mumbai, Dec 25: Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis said while inaugurating the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Schools that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee dreamt of providing education to each and every one in the country. He gave the direction of development to the country. It is a happy coincidence that on the occasion of his birth anniversary the Maharashtra State Board of Education is launching the international schools in his memory. This is a real tribute to him, Fadanvis said.


The Chief Minister inaugurated the 13 Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Schools digitally at a program held at Sahyadri Guest House today. The program was attended by Union HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar, School Education Minister Vinod Tawde, Women and Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde, MoS Agriculture Sadabhau Khot, Additional principal Secretary Education Vandana Krishna, Commissioner Vishal Solankhe, Director Maharashtra International Education Board Sunil Magar, Scientist Dr Vijay Bhatakar, Educationist Sonam Wangchuk, Achyut Palav and others. Members Swarup Sampat, Prachi Sathye, Francis Joseph were felicitated for their contribution in academic syllabus preparation. Senior Scientist Raghunath mashelkar, Anil Kakodkar extended their best compliments for the program.


Chief Minister further said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure introduced the concept of development in its real sense in almost all the fields to take the country on the path of progress. The education department has achieved remarkable progress in transforming students and brought it on the third position. The syllabus of international school is research-based and is prepared with the help and cooperation of those experts who had contributed significantly in the development of the country. The new education system is prepared in consideration of the capacity of each individual, the Chief Minister said. The Board has drafted the policy to train and prepare capacity building programs to make the students capable of competing with global standard. These schools will mould students who would give better contribution to the country, he said.

Praiasing the changes brought in by the education department, Fadanvis said that it was necessary to encourage the tremendous capacity of teachers and students. With the transformation brought in by the education department the academic capacity of students has increased to 100 percent. Lakhs of teachers are techno savvy and they have contributed immensely by preparing 8000 apps. That is why students are coming back to zilla pariasahd schools from English medium schools. This is a paradigm shift in education scenario, he said.

 

School Education Minister Vinod Tawde said that this pilot project is being implemented in 13 schools of local self-government bodies, tribal development department, social justice department, and school education department to provide intretional standard education to the students. The syllabus is prepared to prove the quality of students at par with the global standards, Next year this project will be implemented in 100 schools. Efforts would be made to provide instructions to the students as per their liking and interests. Qualified teachers have been selected and students who would stand up the global competitions would be made from these schools, Tawde said.

Union HRD Minister Javdekar said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee started the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan and launching these schools on his birth anniversary is the success of this campaign in real sense. Instead conventional instructions these students will be provided skill-based syllabus. Operation digital board concept would be implemented in next three years for the students of 9th to 15th standard through 15 lakh classrooms, he said.

Pankaja Munde said that education has a major share in development of students and education department is trying to provide them education in the most easily and tensionless manner. The new approach developed by the education department is aimed at skill development, and intellect building of the students, she said congratulating the education department.

The digital inauguration program was attended by concerned officers, students of various schools and students and guardian minister of 13 districts.
