Senior Andhra BJP leader and former minister Kamineni Srinivas bids adieu to electoral politics

Amaravati, Dec 4: Former Health  Minister and Senior Andhra Pradesh BJP leader Kamineni Srinivas on Monday announced that he will not contest the forthcoming 2019 elections.

On his 72nd birthday, the senior BJP leader said that he is unlikely to continue with electoral politics. A medical doctor by profession, the BJP leader was the part of Chandra Babu Naidu cabinet and served as the Health Minister. 

The Kaikalur MLA also expressed satisfaction over Ministerial tenure. On this occasion, Srinivas thanked former M. Venkaiah Naidu for shaping and guiding his political career.

When TDP snapped ties with BJP, Kamineni Srinivas also stepped down from the post of the Health Minister.

Considered to be the blue-eyed boy of former BJP President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Srinivas shares warm relations with the TDP President Chandra Babu Naidu.

According to media reports, when Naidu backed out from NDA, Srinivas was approached by TDP and even offered ticket but he turned down the proposal.
