The availability of fertilizers quite comfortable during this rabi season. This rabi season continues from October to march. We have requirements of urea for the season 2018-19 is October 29.95 lakh metric tonnes, November 31.26 lakh metric tonnes. December 34.02, January 27.88, February 17.82, March 14.92 lakh metric tonnes.

While explaining about the availability of stock he said Department of fertilizer are regularly in touch with the states and stakeholders across the country. There will be regular availability of 25.6 lakh metric tones imported urea by global tenders. He also said that the quantity expected to cover the gap between the indigenous urea production during the peak consumption month of December 18 to January 19. Production of PK fertilizers is growing up. Importing PK under OGL as per the monthly supply chain before the start of each month.

Regarding supply facility of this available stock, he further explains that there is a day to day coordination with railways across the country. So as to ensure timely availability of all the fertilizers in each nook and corner of the country. The suppliers and the stakeholders have been advised to take quality supply. Department of Fertilizer has urea round about 15.69 lakh metric tonnes DAP 7.91 lakh metric tonnes, MOP 2.56 lakh metric tonnes NPK 7.22 lakh metric tonnes. Department is monitoring on daily basis.

So framers across the country will get sufficient supply of Urea and Chemicals this rabi season.
