Four Indians lead the World’s 100 most powerful women,2018

New Delhi, December 5: The 15th list concerning the ranking of the ‘World’s 100 most powerful women,2018 ’ is out today which constitutes 4 Indian women. The Vice Chairperson of the board of HCL Technologies Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Kiran Muzumdar Shaw and the two from the category of Media and entertainment Shobhana Bhartia and Priyanka Chopra are the Indian ladies positioned in the ranking.
The first position of the list is possessed by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Merkel first became the Chancellor in 2005 and is serving in her fourth term. However, the British Prime Minister Theresa May and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund from France Christine Lagarde are honoured to settle at the second and the third position respectively.
“This year, the 15th annual list welcomes 20 newcomers, but what’s notable is who’s moved out, up and down, making way for emerging leaders who are redefining the chief seat and bringing others along with them. We see more change ahead.”, reported the Forbes magazine in relation.
 
Roshni Nadar Malhotra :  
Roshni Nadar Malhotra, CEO at the HCL Technologies, is at the top most spot amongst the Indian ladies counting at the 51st place. She's responsible for all strategic decisions for the $8.1 billion enterprise, which operates in technology, healthcare and infosystems. She also acts as trustee to the Shiv Nadar Foundation which is focused on education and has established some of India's top colleges and schools.
 

 
Kiran Muzumdar- Shaw :  
 
On the 60th altitude of the ranking is Kiran Muzumdar-Shaw. She marks herself as India's richest self-made woman and founder of India's largest biopharmaceutical firm in 1978. She's invested in research infrastructure aiming into building a deep R&D-based biotech firm, not a copycat generics maker. Her philanthropic initiative, The Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre, aims to create a sustainable, affordable cancer care model.
 

 
Shobhana Bhartia : 
 
The Chairperson and Managing Director, HT Media Shobhana Bhartia is celebrated to chair the 88th position. In 2013, Bhartia launched the business weekly MintAsia in Singapore and then bought Webitude, a social and digital media outfit.
 

 
Priyanka Chopra :
 
The former Miss World and the Indian actress producer Priyanka Chopra however managed to grab the 94th position in the list. Arguably the most successful Bollywood actor to cross over to Hollywood, Chopra made her U.S. big-screen debut in 2017's "Baywatch." She launched her own production company, Mumbai-based Purple Pebble Pictures, to promote regional filmmakers and emerging Indian talent. In 2018, she became a tech investor, putting money into dating app Bumble's investment fund and Holberton School for software engineering.
