Mumbai, Dec 6: Applauding the relief and rehabilitation work carried out by Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needi Maiam, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has urged people to come forward for the rescue of Cyclone Gaja hit regions of Tamil Nadu.

Appealing through a video message which was posted by actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, Big B requested people to address the problems faced by the citizens of Tamil Nadu.

Expressing concern over the Massive damage caused by the Cyclone Gaja, the ace actor said “Lakhs of people have been moved to relief camps. Massive damage has been recorded to trees, electric poles, and livestock and this is just an estimation”.

Amitabh opined that support from volunteers and social organizations would amplify the relief drive. On this occasion, the Superstar thanked State and Central governments for their timely aid.

Referring to the scale of devastation, Bachchan said that people outside Tamil Nadu are unaware of the damage caused by Cyclone Gaja. “This is the time to bring out the spirit of brotherhood. Be the beacon of humanity and come forward to help our own,” said Big B.

Responding to Amitabh Bachchan’s emotional appeal, the actor turned Politician Kamal Haasan thanked the legendary actor.

Thank you Amit Ji @SrBachchan. You have clearly explained the devastation the Gaja Cyclone has wrecked in Thamizh Nadu. Earlier, actor Amir Khan also came forward extended support to Cyclone Gaja affected areas of the delta region.
