Showtime for Telangana Election Battle tomorrow

Hyderabad, December 6: The famously ongoing rush of Telangana election battle will be finally coming to a result tomorrow, December 7. As the campaigning came to an end on Wednesday, all the political parties have drawn the battle lines for the full-fledged assembly. Telangana, India’s youngest states will have their first assembly elections tomorrow. The excitement about these elections have been on peak since Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader K Chandrasekhar Rao abruptly dissolved the house last month before their term was to end.

Polling in the state will be held in a single phase as per EC’s order on Dec 7 and counting of the votes will be done on Dec 11. The campaigns have been heavily organised in the state for one month which saw many heavy presences including Prime Minister Modi, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, TRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao and Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. Highly exhilarating rallies and roadshows were experienced by the people of Telangana for the month of November.

 

A tough fight between TRS and Congress-led people will be seen in the assembly. Other important participating parties in the assembly polls are Telangana Jana Samithi, Bharatiya Janata Party and Telugu Desam Party.

 

PM Modi and Amit Shah, in their speeches, consisted on their protest against reservations for Muslim Minorities as proposed by Telangana Government. The proposal is “Anti-constitutional”, said Modi. In a public meeting in Hyderabad arranged on Monday evening, PM Modi addressed the people in Telangana. He said Telangana is witnessing is ‘dynastic politics’. He also said, out of all the parties contesting elections, only BJP values ‘democratic ideals’.
