Telangana elections: BJP files Complaint against Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Dec 7: A delegation led by BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today met officials of the election commission and officially lodged a complaint against Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
Referring to Congress President’s recent interview in a Hyderabad based leading English daily, the Union Minister said that immediate action should be taken against Rahul Gandhi.
Accusing Rahul Gandhi of poll code violation, the BJP leader demanded a stern action against the alleged attempts of paid news to influence voters.
On 6 December, a day before polling, Congress President gave an interview to local the Hyderabad based newspaper. Earlier, BJP’s Telangana unit also lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer.
