Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal to attend key meeting on pending irrigation projects

New Delhi/ Hyderabad, February 13: In order to resolve the long pending inter-state water sharing issues, the central government will be convening a meeting of Irrigation Ministers of all Southern States under the monitoring of Union Minister of State for Water Resources Arjun Ram Meghwal.

According to media reports, On February 20, Meghwal will fly down to Hyderabad and will hold one to one interaction with Irrigation Ministers to zero down the contentious water sharing and other problems faced by state government.

On this occasion, the Union minister will take a stock of various ongoing irrigation projects helmed by the state government. The group of ministers will discuss and deliberate on center’s proposal on inter-linking of rivers and other financial aspects for completing pending irrigation projects.
