Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani meets PM Modi; discusses policy issues

New Delhi/Gandhinagar, February 14: For the first time after retaining Gujarat, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the national capital. On Tuesday, Rupani briefed Modi about the functioning of newly elected state government. Both the leaders have reportedly disused the socio-political situation in the coastal state.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also paid courtesy visits to President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu. Later he met BJP National President Amit Shah and discussed future plans to strengthen the party organization post-Gujarat polls. During his Delhi visit, CM Rupani also interacted with Gujarat cadre IAS and IPS officers and discussed various subjects pertaining to various ongoing development schemes.


 

According to reports published in Navgujarat Samay, Modi reviewed the performance of state cabinet members. Modi was reportedly unhappy over the pressure tactics adopted by faction associated with senior BJP leader and Dy-Chief Minister Nitin Patel. The Prime Minister directed Rupani to fine tune the state administration and urged him to establish better coordination with the party and state government.
