New Delhi, February 14: Days after Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad carried out an attack on Sunjuwan military camp in the heart of Jammu city, the United States intelligence head has come out with a warning that terror outfits will continue to target the Indian military establishment. America has also indicated that such attacks may lead to an escalation of tension between the two neighbours.

The United States has said, Pakistan-supported terrorist groups would continue to carry out attacks inside India. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said this in his testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in Washington.

He said the terror groups supported by Islamabad will continue to take advantage of their safe havens in Pakistan to plan and conduct attacks in India and Afghanistan.

Coats said Pakistan will continue to threaten US interests by deploying new nuclear weapons capabilities, maintaining its ties to terrorists, restricting counter-terrorism cooperation, and drawing closer to China.
