On February 19, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the mammoth rally in Mysuru. Incidentally, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah hails from the same district. Earlier in the month, Modi while addressing the public gathering in state capital lashed out at Siddaramaiah led Congress government and urged people of Karnataka to reject the inefficient state government.
On the other hand, Party Chief Amit Shah will criss-cross the poll bound-state in his seven-day state-wide tour. According to state BJP officials, Shah will mark his presence for Navashakti samavesha in Dakshina Kannada district. He is scheduled to attend few community meetings followed by interaction with local office bearers and poll manager in order to fix the election strategy. The national President will interact with family members of Bajrang Dal activist Deepak Rao who was allegedly hacked to death by some anti-social elements in the month of January.
After the successful rollout state-wide Parivartana Yatra under state BJP in-charge BS Yeddyurappa, state unit will be launching a drive called “Suraksha Yatra” from Surathkal in Dakshina Kannada district. Informing about the proposed election campaign, senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Shobha Karandlaje said that Suraksha Yatra will highlight the failures of Siddaramaiah government on the fronts like law and order, atrocities against women and weaker sections, and raising communal violence.

The former state cabinet minister said that from March 3 to 6 senior BJP leader like Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Skill Development Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde, and D V Sadananda Gowda will participate in the three-day mass outreach programme. Ananth Kumar Hegde and D V Sadananda Gowda will kick-off the rally from Ankola whereas, on March 6 Yogi Adityanath will join on concluding the day in Surathkal.
