KCR meets Arun Jaitley; seeks financial aid for pending projects

New Delhi, February 16: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday called on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and briefed him about the financial aid required for State government. Referring to the old proposals of sanctioning key institutions like All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to the Telangana state, KCR maintained that state government is ready to provide land and other infrastructure for the easy roll-out of proposed premier institutions.

This was the first interaction between KCR and Jaitley after the presentation of Union budget. Considered to be crucial meeting ahead of the much-anticipated meeting between PM Modi and Rao, the Telangana Chief Minister has urged Union Finance minister to address the legitimate demands of the newly crafted state. On this occasion, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma TRS MP AP. Jithender Reddy and other officials were present.
