Centurion, February 17: India concludes the one day series against South Africa with a great victory. Captain Virat Kohli led from the front with his 129 to beat the opposition easily. India beat South Africa by 8 wickets in the sixth match at Centurion last night. Men in blue have clinched the series with 5-1.

Team India reached their target 205 in 33rd over only with almost 18 overs to spare. Earlier put in to bat, South Africa were all-out for 204 in 46.5 overs. The victory in this series has helped India to take over the top of the 50-over ranking charts.Shardul Thakur, playing his first match of the series, led another clinical display from India with figures of 4 for 52.

Once the team which used to suffer from bowling weakness, this team is now blessed with good spinners. India's wrist spin twins, Kuldeep Yadav (17 wickets at 13.88) and Yuzvendra Chahal (16 wickets at 16.38) took 33 South African wickets.

“When you have a leader like that who leads by example, the other guys jolly well follow. Otherwise, they know what to expect,” India head coach Ravi Shastri lauded Virat Kohli for his great performance throughout the series.

"That's the beauty about this team on this trip where I feel proud as a coach about my boys is the intensity they showed. Even after being two-zip down in the Test series, for them to show that kind of character to come back and win that Test match in Johannesburg on a spiteful pitch. And to then take that momentum into the one-day series and show the consistency they've shown over the last two weeks is fabulous,” he said.
