AP Minister Nara Lokesh writes center; seeks funds for MNREGS wage bill

Amaravati, February 19: Andhra Pradesh Rural Development, Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh has urged Narendra Modi led NDA government to address the issue of pending finances for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS) wage bill.

According to media reports, AP Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has briefed Union Minister for Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar about the outstanding payments of near about ₹167 crore.

Speaking to the media Lokesh informed that relevant documents and reports on the work done and the wage amount are being reviewed by the state government and would be submitted to center.
