North Korea warns US against resumption of joint military drills with South Korea

Pyongyang, February 19: The probability of the US and South Korea’s joint drill has angered North Korea which was postponed due to Winter Olympics. North Korea clearly warned the United States Started against resuming joint military drills with Seoul and said Washington should be blamed for any deterioration of the recent inter-Korean developments.

North Korea has arrogantly condemned the US war rehearsals calling it an obstacle to developed Inter-Korean relationship. "The U.S. has a purpose to end a thaw in inter-Korean ties immediately after the Olympic flame goes out. The U.S. is making noise to resume its military exercises with Seoul right after the Games' closing," The Rodong Sinmun, the North's main newspaper, said in a commentary.

A rare development has suddenly taken place between the Koreas. North send its high-level delegation to Seoul. Kim Jong Un’s sister Kim Yon-jong delivered an invitation from Kim’s side to South Korean President Moon Jae-in for a summit in Pyongyang.

"The government is making multifaceted efforts to restore inter-Korean relations, resolve North Korea's nuclear issue and bring peace to the Korean Peninsula," Baik Tae-hyun, the spokesman at Seoul's unification ministry said adding that nothing has been decided over whether the South will send a special envoy to the North.
