PM Modi attends Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka Mahotsav; Recalls saints for making ‘positive impact’ in society

Bengaluru, February 19: After addressing World Congress on Information Technology Conclave in Hyderabad, Prime Minister started his Karnataka tour where he attended Shravanbalegola, Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka Festival. 

 
 
Addressing the Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka Mahotsav, PM Modi said that saints and seers from our land have always served society and made a positive difference. The strength of our society is that we have always changed with the times and adapted well to new situations.
 

This is the 1st visit of a Prime Minister to such holy site since last 25 years. Stressing the importance of healthcare, PM Modi said, "It is our duty to provide good quality and affordable healthcare to the poor."

PM Narendra Modi will also address a rally and participate in various public functions in Karnataka on Monday. PM Modi was warmly received by Chief Minister. PM Modi is also set to inaugurate Bahubali General Hospital built by the Jain Mutt. Later, the Prime Minister will commission the electrified Mysuru-Bengaluru railway line and flag off the Humsafar Express train from Mysuru to Udaipur in Rajasthan.
