First of its kind Jharkhand introduces board exams for Standard 8th beginning from tomorrow

Ranchi, February 19: Class 8th board examination will begin from tomorrow. For the first time in the state, board examinations of class eight students are being taken. The exam preparation has been completed. The Jharkhand Academic Council has sent the question papers to all the districts. The examination in the district will be under the supervision of the District Education Officer. Approximately 5.33 lakh examinees of 41 thousand schools will be present in the examination.

The examination will take place from February 20 to 27. Examinations for Hindi, English, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit / Urdu / Bangla and other regional languages will be examined. The examination of each subject will be 100 points. There will be a written examination of 80 marks, whereas 20 marks will be given for various academic works and activities being done by the students at the school level.

For the exams, there are certain duties allotted to the teachers as well like they are appointed for supervision but not in their respective schools but in the other schools, they have to do their duty of supervision.

The result will be released in the last week of March. The report card will be issued by the signature of the district level committee's Principal and the concerned division of Block Education Officer.
