CM Parrikar is in good health and is responding well; rumors in media are fake: Lilavati Hospital

Mumbai, February 19: Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar health is bit disturbed and has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Parrikar, who is being treated at the Lilavati Hospital for a pancreatic ailment since 15 February, would attend the session regularly from today say the sources. And also he is responding well say the hospital authorities.

An official statement from the hospital authorities has stated that the rumors which are going on in the print and electronic media are wrong and the chief minister is responding well to the treatment given. According to the statement “It has been brought to our notice various malicious and misleading reports/rumors are floating around in the Electronic and Print media with regards to the health of Hon'ble CM of Goa. We categorically deny such rumors. We reiterate that Hon’ble CM of Goa is being treated and is responding well to the treatment.”

 

According to official tweet “Hon'ble CM Shri Manohar Parrikar is under monitoring for his inflamed pancreas at Lilavati, Mumbai and has not been advised any surgery. Hon'ble CM will be attending the state assembly session which is scheduled to begin from 19th February 2018.”

 

To inquire about the health of the CM, PM Modi along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis went to the hospital and stayed for 15 mins in the evening. 

CM Parrikar will also attend the budget session of the state from today with Governor Mridula Sinha's address. It was scheduled to end in mid-March, but now it would end in three days owing to Parrikar's illness, Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo said.
