Anil Baijal orders to enhance presence of women work force in Delhi police

New Delhi, February 2: Lt. Governor Anil Baijal yesterday chaired Law & Order meeting and reviewed general crime situation in National Delhi. He stressed an enhancing presence of women work force in all Police Stations.

Delhi Police made an elaborate presentation in this regard covering different aspects of Law & Order situation and preventive as well as corrective measures undertaken during the last one year.

The main issues discussed included having more Women Beat Officers, Sashakti, Public Facilitation Officers scheme for Police Stations, Parakram, Cycle Patrols, Yuva, Child Friendly Room and Prahri.

He appreciated that in almost all the heinous crimes there has been a decline and encouraged Delhi Police to continue its efforts to make the city crime free and also to think innovatively to check various crimes.

Anil Baijal desired to have a specific analysis of causes of acquittal in active consultation with Directorate of Prosecution (DOP) and other concerned agencies.

Human trafficking including the issue of missing children has been a great concern and he desired to have a structured mechanism by Delhi Police to consult with Social Welfare Department, GNCTD to curb the menace of human trafficking and make all efforts to trace the missing children.

Lt Governor desired to integrate de-addiction clinics, skill development centers with the night shelters to meet the desired results.
