No-confidence motion not enough; Intensify fight against center: Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada, February 20: Irked with the allegations of junior alliance partner BJP, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has asked TDP lawmakers to intensify the democratic protest against the non-cooperation of BJP led central government over the range of demands under AP Reorganisation Act. 
 
Addressing the Madigala Mahasabha here, Babu stated that yellow army members should gear up and raise questions in Parliament. He emphasized that BJP, who is at the helm of affairs will have to address the long-pending legitimate promises made on the floor of the parliament during the tragic and unjustified bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

The Telugu Desam Party National president suggested party MPs and MLAs to gather the support of like-minded parties in order to mount pressure on center. Babu further added that the coastal state would be in deep trouble if center ignores the proposal. Reacting to the rising demands of the no-confidence motion against the center, the Chief Minister asserted that all options are open for TDP but mere no-confidence motion with inadequate numbers would not serve the purpose

Taking a pot shot at BJP, the TDP president underlined that after being betrayed by Congress, TDP forged an alliance with BJP in order to fastback the development of newly crafted Andhra Pradesh, but even after three and a half years, it seems that even BJP following the same line. He pointed that he has been to New Delhi 29 times and held one-to-one interaction with the concern stakeholders. In an emotional appeal, Chandrababu urged the Centre to immediately implement all the provisions as per the Special Category Status. He maintained that yellow army would continue to fight for the justice Andhra Pradesh.

Incidentally, the principal opposition party YSR Congress has announced its plan of bringing a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi led BJP government for not delivering the poll promises during 2014 general election. On the other hand, after TDP another NDA ally Jana Sena party helmed by actor Pawan Kalyan has also extended support for the no-confidence motion drive. Kalyan, who had backed BJP-TDP allice in 2014 has now targeting Modi for keeping mum on key issues pertaining to the welfare of Andhra. The actor turned politician has constituted a fact-finding committee to brainstorm on the provisions of AP Reorganisation Act.
