Jharkhand plans to build world’s largest Buddha Stupa

Ranchi, February 20: On the occasion of Itkhori festival in the district of Chatra, CM Raghubar Das said that the state is planning to build world’s largest Buddha Stupa here. This place will serve as a confluence for Hindu, Buddhist, and Jainism. And also it will wipe out the image of the area as well as will boost tourism.

The government is working for this. Jharkhand government is going to start work on several schemes for the development of tourism. While giving information about this, the Chief Minister said that the master plan will be prepared till March for the development of the region. By July it will have a DPR. The next year when the Itikhori Festival will be held, people will see the work started. For this, an amount of Rs. 600 crores will be spent.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government is specially working in four areas for development. The first area is agriculture. There are three fields in which work is being done. Agriculture, animal husbandry, and horticulture are being promoted in this. Similarly, the industry is also being promoted in the state. There is also a lot of potential in the field of IT services.

The fourth area is tourism. The government has a special focus on this area. Various tourist sites are being developed in the form of circuits so that devotees can roam at 3-4 places simultaneously and enjoy the journey. He said that Chatra was first identified in the form of the insurgency-affected area, but with the speed that the public and police administration has done here, this area has become free from militancy.

While giving information about the government schemes to the public, the Chief Minister said that work is being done to connect every BPL family with employment. The women of the village are being linked to more and more work. Jharkhand has to intercept middlemen, for this, the government is connecting the people of the village with the help of the Chief Minister's Board.
