Turning Uttar Pradesh into ‘Uttam Pradesh’, the state signed 1,045 pacts attracting investment of Rs 4.25 lakhs crore

Lucknow, February 21: After inaugurating the investor’s summit in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts taken by the state for initiating such a mega summit welcoming top investors and delegates. Adding up to the success of the mega convergence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that the state has signed around 1,045 MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) worth 4.25 lakh crore.

 

 

While addressing in the summit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "It is a matter of pride for the state that fortune-500 companies are participating in this summit. I want to tell you all that till now we have signed 1,045 MoUs worth Rs 4.28 lakh crore. I have recently presented budget of Rs 4.28 lakh crore and the figure of MOUs signed is the same. We are heading towards new UP."

Talking further on the signed MOUs, Adityanath mentioned that he would oversee that the MOUs have been executed and those included in the investing in the state get all the facilities.

 

Further he also thanked PM Modi for his guidance and added that through this the country will definetly move towards progress, development and shed the Bimaru tag from the state. The summit is an attempt to establish UP among the developed states and its focus areas include food processing, dairy, handloom and textile, MSME, IT, start-ups, electronic manufacturing, films, tourism and civil aviation.

Stressing that the state was providing basic needs for investments like law and order, infrastructure, power and roads, he said the state government would ensure an administrative setup which will be transparent and answerable. Adityanath said that the state's start-up policy will provide innovation base to new entrepreneurs and associated IIT Kanpur, BHU and 30 engineering with it.

It is for the first time that the State has grabbed such a humungous investment and this would definitely help the state to progress and bring out new ideas for development
