New Delhi, February 25: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal briefed Home Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday on the tussle between Aam Aadmi Party government and its bureaucracy in wake of the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

An official said, during the meeting, the LG apprised the Home Minister on his interactions with the government's bureaucrats, who complained about the alleged high-handedness of the MLAs and a delegation of Delhi's ruling party. They conveyed to him about the non-attendance of officers in regular meetings.

Prakash was allegedly manhandled by two AAP MLAs at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence during a meeting recently. Both the MLAs have been arrested.

The incident reportedly occurred in presence of Kejriwal and deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia. Prakash was called by Kejriwal regarding the issue of advertisements, which were not being released.

However, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed he had been called for a discussion on ration distribution. “The allegation of assault is totally bizarre and baseless,” a senior official of the chief ministers office had said.

The two legislators, Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal have been charged under the Indian Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty (Section 332), assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty(353) and criminal conspiracy(120B) for the purported attack on Prakash.
