Not associated with Kamal Haasan’s new political venture: Actress Gautami Tadimalla

 

The 49-year actress in her recent blog expressed displeasure over the speculative media reports about her alleged association with the political outfit of Kamal Haasan. In 2016, Gautami and Kamal Haasan ended their close association of 13 years.

The multi-talented actress who recently recovered from cancer stated that she wishes to continue her crusade to raise awareness about cancer and would serve the people suffering from the detrimental disease. “I want to save those lives that are being needlessly lost – lost due to fear and ignorance” mentioned Gautami.

On February 21, amidst much fanfare, Superstar Kamal Haasan had launched his much-awaited political outfit 'Makkal Needhi Maiam'. In an emotional appeal, the Ulaganayagan urged people to join hands to make Tamil Nadu free from social evils like corruption, caste and religion-based discrimination. The national award winning actor maintained that his new political venture would break all established outdated notions in a present-day political system with the help of public participation.

 

On the political front, Gautami shares warm relations with BJP which has a limited presence in down south. Speculations about Gautami’s political innings were at rife after the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During her interaction with Prime Minister Modi, Gautami urged Modi to take effective policy decisions in order to curb the Cancer. On several occasions, the senior actor heaped praises on Narendra Modi led BJP government.
