Ranchi, February 26: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that state government’s move on liquor has benefited several families who were under tremendous pressure. He was speaking at the party convention organized by the state unit of Jharkhand JD(U).

On this occasion, the JD(U) National Chief also shared the action plan adopted by the Bihar government to address the issue of the illegal liquor trade. Kumar stated that team headed by the ADG/IG keeps track on illegitimate activities associated with liquor business.

Commenting on the pro-people initiatives of Bihar government, Kumar asserted that scheme like distribution of bicycles for girls is now paying rich dividends as enrolment of girls has improved from 1.17 lakh to 15 lakh.
