Siddaramaiah took a swipe at state BJP leaders and urged Prime Minister to find some time to address the drinking water needs of Karnataka people. Karnataka state government has locked horns with BJP led Goa government over the sharing of Mahadayi water.

Responding to Siddaramaiah’s jibe, senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa took a fresh salvo at Siddaramaiah over the declining law and order situation under Siddaramaiah regime. Refuting the claims of Siddaramaiah, the Shimoga MP underlined that state government has miserably failed to protect the interest of people of Karnataka where more than 3,500 farmers have committed suicides.
